Nilly's Realm is a privately-developed game based on the flash game Realm of the Mad God, designed by Wild Shadow studios and now published and managed by Deca Games. Nilly's Realm is IN NO WAY AFFILIATED with the above companies.

Mad

Nilly's Realm can be described as a 2-dimensional, pixel-drawn, bullet-hell game that runs on a Flash-based client. You may choose from 14 different classes, using a variety of weapons and abilities. Players navigate the game realm, killing enemies, gaining levels, raising attributes, and collecting unique and powerful equipment and items.

Caution: Nilly's Realm is a Permanent Death Game. Once your HP reaches zero, that character will be lost forever!

The Void is an endgame dungeon that is a sub-area of the Lost Halls and consists entirely of a boss fight against the Void Entity. It is a source of Tier 13 Weapons, Tier 14 Armor, Tier 6 Rings, the Void Archer UT Set, and the coveted Omnipotence Ring.

The entrance to The Void can be revealed by using a Vial of Pure Darkness in the Lost Halls boss room, close to the purple streaks, once the Marble Colossus is defeated. The vial can be obtained from Malus, the boss of the Cultist Hideout.

The Realm Eye says:
I am not able to peer into the realm of the void myself, but it is my understanding that the dimension is little more than a barren expanse of Pure Evil.
When Skuld distributes the spirits of the dead, the Void Entity claims the most powerful souls and pulls them into the void.
It is an unfortunate reality that many of the heroes that came before you, including your own ancestors, have likely become his pawns after falling in battle.

Layout

The Void is initially a massive, circular arena consisting of rough purple floor tiles in an endless sea of Pure Evil. Streaks of Pure Evil can be found in the floor tiles, although these do not damage players. During the battle against the Void Entity, the arena will gradually shrink in diameter. At certain phases, the arena will be divided into two, and later into four equally-sized sectors.

Tips and Strategies

See the relevant section for the Void Entity.

History

  • The Void was released in Patch X.16.0 (Aug 2017), along with the rest of the Lost Halls. The Void originally had brown floor tiles and closely resembled the aesthetics for The Forgotten Sentinel fight in The Shatters.
  • In Patch X.26.0.0 (May 2018), the entirety of the Lost Halls, including The Void, received major revisions.

Trivia

The
  • The Void Entity’s lines “Ah, heroes, blessed souls…I shall destroy you with the power of darkness!” and “As your existence fades, remember that it is an honor to have it ended at my hands!” are both references dialogue lines by some bosses in Super Paper Mario.

  • The Void Entity’s dying phrases were said to have been inspired by the opening lines of the Negativitron from LittleBigPlanet 2.

  • The Void has a portal sprite in the game files. However, this is not actually used for the portal that spawns upon using a Vial of Pure Darkness. The portal is designated by a swirl of purple particles but does not have an actual portal sprite. However, the portal sprite is used when viewing the dungeon completion statistics for a character.
Note: this sprite is also used for a consumable item for testing that directly opens a portal to The Void. There also exists a item that opens a portal directly to the Cult, and uses the regular sprite of a unlocked Cult Portal.
